Miuvolke Drakonis

Mysterious and with a scrambled background - the miuvolke are the most recently discovered variant of drakoni, slowly increasing their population numbers on Lumyr for the past 3000 years. Their ancestry is unknown, though records remain how they seemingly originated on Ebonwood Isle. Having no true homeland of their own means they evenly spread all across the land of Lumyr - there is no place that's more dense than the last.

Over the ages, miuvolke drakonis gained notable attention as they made enormous discoveries. Electricity, steam power, and automation are all inventions honed by miu engineers. Despite this, the race itself isn't regarded as the most intelligent, nor do they regularly exhibit intellectual prowess over the other two species. It's simply a coincidence that miuvolke have spawned the greatest inventors Lumyr has seen so far. Although they never had much issue with discrimination, as far as history goes, their relevance did get overlooked and pushed to side for countless centuries. In modern day, they live in equality among their peers.

Aside from being the shortest, most compact species on Lumyr, they also possess the strongest legs. Their kicks might not shatter bones like those of an althiar could, but the distance they can cover in one leap surpasses both of their brethren species combined. They're also the fastest bipedal runners, although a quad can generally still outrun them.

Combined with their bipedal build, they are the most proficient species at climbing. This makes Miuvolke the most versatile athletes among the trinity, so much so that until as recent as few hundred years ago they were still banned from participating in sports events reliant on agility.

Mentality

Although Miu can adapt to living in solitary conditions - they enjoy being a part of a community, and will always seek out groups to belong to. Certainly not as social as althiar, but also not as reserved as yashoi. They see great value in working together as a group, rather than trying to achieve one's goals alone, so they value friendships and alliances. This is precisely where their natural talent of adaptability comes in handy - when trying to blend into a yashoi group, they can operate just fine being as distant and reserved as them, whilst they can also adapt to being very cuddly and social with their althiar friends.

Anatomy and Build

Their small, nimble build is perfectly capable of surviving in any kingdom, quickly adapting to the terrain, climate and temperature of their surroundings. Similarly, they quickly adopt quirks and traditions of the drakoni around them - for miu do not have their own customs to depend on. Some clans of miuvolke possess their own histories, yet none have developed distinguished culture of their own. Their architecture, too, is crude and uninspired in comparison. They build small, cozy homes with emphasis on functionality and comfort, rather than grandeur. They have just enough space to accommodate their family's needs, seeing no point in empty spaces for the sake of empty spaces. It's also why settlements built by them are tight-knit, resembling a beehive.

Unlike their brethren species, the miu walk on plantigrade legs with small paws, rather than digitigrade ones. Although they cannot shift to a quadruped stance comfortably - lacking joints that would allow convenient movement in said form - they see little need for it, as their bodies are neither heavy, nor awkward to carry in an upright stance, having natural balance in their anatomy.

Miuvolke are the smallest of the three species, with some individuals remaining much smaller than average, while others grow almost as tall as a short althiar.

Their height variety isn't very visible until adolescence, generally remaining the same across all young miu. Because of this, when they do hit their growth spurt, it suprises everyone around them, including themself.
